Joyous Easter!

Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time.  ~Martin Luther

See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Earth with heaven above rejoices...  ~Charles Kingsley

'Twas Easter-Sunday. The full-blossomed trees
Filled all the air with fragrance and with joy.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

~ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.  ~Matthew 28:6

~I have delight in the manger, I am in awe of the old rugged cross; however, it is an empty tomb
that I rejoice in the most!

~Wishing each one, A Joyful and Blessed Easter!~ Kathy

Feeling the "thud"~

"When I think something nice is going to happen, I seem to fly right up on the wings of anticipation; and then the first thing I realize, I drop down to earth with a thud. But, really Marilla, the flying part is glorious as long as it's like soaring through a sunset.  I think it almost pays for the thud."
~LM Montgomery Anne of Green Gables

~We made a trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee over the weekend to meet our daughter and her husband and most importantly, our two grandchildren.  What fun!  Of course there is always the "pre-trip" to Target for little gift surprises that all good grannies will have on hand, and then all that "anticipation" of getting to our destination and seeing them..I love the "hello's"...not so much the "goodbyes".   There's just nothing like those little feet running toward you with arms wide open and their little voices yelling "Granneee"!!! (:
Two glorious days spent soaring~shopping, hugging, kissing, shopping, (my daugther is a pro at this) coloring, and endless games of uno moo..if you haven't played this game you are missing out! (:   Well,  as you may have already guessed...the goodbyes...the thud. I'm still missing them..wishing they lived much closer then nine, very long hours away.  We will see them again in June...counting the days til then! hugs~Kathy

"If I had a single flower for every time I think of you, I could walk forever in my garden." ~Claudi Ghandi
