~We recently had my husbands nieces with us for the weekend. They live in South Africa and were here visiting family. My husband's sister and her husband are missionaries in South Africa and they have five daughters. The girls have lived in South Africa since they were very small..actually the three youngest were born there. We miss them terribly, so it was so nice to have them here for a visit. They are all grown just about..the oldest just married and the next two who were visiting are 18 and 20. They told us that their South African friends can't understand why they are choosing to live in South Africa when they
could live in America. It reminded me again the sacrifice this family has made and also how thankful I am to have been born in this wonderful country! As Americans we have so much..we may forget how blessed we are at times...the girls reminded me. Happy Birthday America!
"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism."
Wishing you all a wonderful July Fourth weekend! Hugs~Kathy
