~Hello Dear Friends,
Our family was given devastating news this past week...my youngest sister was diagnosed with a rare form of thyroid cancer and only given 6-12 months to live. She is only 44 years young. She has three children, one is in college and twins, still in high school. She lives with her family in Tx. where her husband pastors a church. May I ask you, my new dear friends to please pray for her? Her name is Connie, she is the youngest of four siblings, I am the oldest. I feel a loss for words and all I know that I can do for sure is to pray. I feel covered in saddness, yet I know that God hears and answers prayer. I so appreciate your prayers on her behalf~a kindred spirit, Kathy

Hello Dear Friends! It is indeed feeling like Autumn here in Ohio, if not a bit like early winter! Brrr! It is cold!
We have had some flu like thing already too...my husband so kindly sharing it with me! (: So I am just now beginning to feel a little better! I can't wait to catch up with everyone's blogs! ~ I thought that I would share a few pictures of the pumpkins that I brought home and I just did my very first "swap" with Pam from basketsnprims and I just love the baskets that she sent me! Pam is such a sweetheart and has become a really good friend. This first picture is her shaker basket, I just love it!
The next basket is a small shaker...so cute!
The basket on the steps is her Williamsburg basket, I love how it looks filled with pumpkins and corn!
This picture is of our kitchen door with pumpkins atop a bit of bittersweet
And this is my most favorite pumpkin~granddaughter Adalie! I'm off to make some chicken soup!~ I hope you are all enjoying warm, sunny Autumn days and the pleasures of sweet friendship! Oh! I almost forgot~that sweet picture atop is our little teddybear~Sugar boo! (: A kindred spirit~Kathy
There is something in the Autumn that is native to my blood~ touch of manner, hint of mood; And my heart is like a rhyme, with the yellow and the purple and the crimson keeping time. The scarlet of the maples can shake me like a cry of bugles going by. And my lonely spirit thrills To see the frosty asters like a smoke upon the hills. There is something in October sets the gypsy blood astir; We must rise and follow her, When from every hill of flame She calls and calls each vagabond by name. ~Bliss Carman~
~Hello dear ones! This poem touches me somewhere deep inside...this time of year is magical don't you think? ~ I wish you many beautiful days filled with the magic of Autumn!
