A New Love

Hello! I've just discovered the loveliest magazine, it is called "Claire Murray's La Vie Claire" "The Art of Living A Creative Life"....Have you seen it too? If you haven't seen it yet, I can't begin to tell you how amazing the pictures are inside~absolutely gorgeous! I'm just going to show you the cover, mainly because I'm not sure if I am supposed to copy thieir pictures on the internet...if you haven't seen a copy of this one yet, at least stop by your local bookstore and take a peek~you will love it..I promise! We had the prettiest weather here this past weekend...but now it has turned gray and cooler again. I am anxious to start planting some
pretty annuals...we usually wait until after Mother's day here for fear of frost. Well, I'm off to a baseball game with my husband and son and daughter-in-law. I'm really not a fan....I'm just going for the hotdog...and of course spending time with the kids! ( : Have a lovely evening! Until next time, a kindred spirit~Kathy

Thank you Prim and Whimsy Girls!

What a lovely surprise this morning to have the fed ex man deliver a great big box to my door step! To be honest, I knew it was coming...I was expecting (anticpating) it for days! And today it arrived! My Easter Basket from the Prim and Whimsy girl's Easter Parade! I was one of the winners! I have never won anything in my life, so you can imagine my excitement when I received an email from Becky telling me that I was one of the winners! It was fun to open it up and see all the "goodies" inside! There are so many wonderful items for crafting....beautiful fabric, glitter (love that) thread, ribbon, wonderful lace (love that too), paper clay, aged paper, rusty bells, old buttons, a pattern from "PieCake Primitives" (can't wait to make that!) a "Prim & Whimsy" coffee mug(love that too!) and so much more, there's really too much to list everything! I am including a picture so that you can see for yourself how big it is and how many wonderful goodies there were! Now, I just need to decide what to make first! Thank you so much Prim and Whimsy girls! The parade was fun to participate in and also to see the lovely Easter creations that you offered, you are such a talented group of ladies! Until next time~a kindred spirit~Kathy

My very first post!

Greetings! Welcome to my new blog. I am a newcomer to this world of blogging and I am so happy to join all of you. I have met so many really nice people~new friends and "kindred spirits". I just love this little glimpse or "peek" into every one's lives, don't you?! I find it so interesting that there is so much commonality intertwined among all of us. ~ Sweet William Primitives is named after my dear sweet papaw whose name was William. He went to heaven twenty two years ago. I still miss him very much. When I was a little girl he would tell me the loveliest stories about a rabbit named Peter who lived in his vegetable garden. (not Beatrix Potter's Peter rabbit, although this later fueled my love for her Peter rabbit stories) I can still remember sitting on his lap and watching his face as he told me his stories...I knew looking into his eyes that he could see Peter hopping about in there eating all his cabbage! ~ I do love to sew and will from time to time have something to offer with a link for you to find it! ~ I have pictured to the right a bunny rabbit that I just recently finished with a pattern by Brenda Gervais of "Country Stitches". It was fun to make and I am pleased at how she turned out! ~ Also to the right, is a link to my friend Doreen Frost and her new Mercantile that will be celebrating it's " grand opening" just around the corner! May 1st! Until then you may find her at "Vermont Harvest Folk Art". She's just the sweetest thing and so very talented too! ~ Hopefully as I learn my way around, I will be linking all of your wonderful blogs too! They have been such an inspiration to me. And a bit "addictive" too, I might add! Until next time~a kindred spirit~ Kathy
